Your Project

Steps for Getting Your Project Quilted

  • Contact me here or DM me on Instagram to discuss setting up your longarm quilting service.  I will answer any questions you have.  For example, if you are unsure of the pantograph you'd like to choose, we can discuss various ideas.

  • When you are ready to proceed just complete the form below or send me an email, and we can set up a time to talk on the phone.

  • Arrange a drop off time for your quilt and backing, or mail your items to me if you don't live locally. **Please note, if you are considering using a plush backing, like minky or fireside, just give me a quick call first. I have had great luck with these types of backings however we want to keep a few things in mind prior to purchasing your backing. A bit of preplanning can ensure that we don't have your backing fibres pulling through to the front of your quilt.

  • You will receive a confirmation email once I have received your items.

  • I will provide you with an update once your quilt has been loaded onto my machine.

  • You will receive an email once your quilt is complete and ready for pick up, or to be mailed back to you.

  • Once I receive payment, we will arrange a time for you to pick up your quilt, or it will promptly be mailed back to you.

Your Information

Your Project Information

I can sometimes rush a special order for an additional fee.

Pantograph

See my Pantos page for ideas. I have many more panto designs than are on the website. We’ll want to discuss options together.

Thread Colour

These are the colors I mainly use, but I have some others in stock.

Batting

Batting 80% Cotton 20% Polyester.  Do you have any specifics regarding batting type?

Photos

I offer beautiful photos of completed creations. I make it quick, easy, and fun to share photos of your completed work with friends, family, and your social media followers.  Some quilters are also compiling photos of their quilty projects in albums (online books, as well as hardcopy). These act as logs so you can have a diary of your creative efforts. I would just ask that if you are posting to social media, that you credit me for the longarm quilting work and the photo(@whitneyoaksdesigns). In turn, I like to use photos of my longarming work to promote and share my efforts on social media, and with my clients.

If you do not want me to publicly post a photo of your quilt until a particular date, because it is a gift or time sensitive, please specify a future date.

Shipping

If you live in my area, we will arrange a drop off/pick up time and date. If you are mailing your quilt top and backing to me, I would suggest that you wrap your items in a bag that will protect your items from any possible moisture, then place the bag in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure it is taped and clearly labelled. I will return your quilt to you via Canada Post expedited shipping with $100 insurance included. If you would like additional insurance, I will add it to your cost of shipping and adjust your invoice accordingly.
