Ways quilter's can help out in a pandemic
Meet my new employee
My No contact protocol

I hope this newsletter finds you safe and well. This Easter feels very different for sure. I'm hoping that by following the directives from our government, we will all be able to make a significant difference in flattening the curve. From my family to yours, we wish you a peaceful Easter. Carolyn

How Quilter's Can Help What is this a picture of? This is 48 masks stitched out on my longarm machine in 20 minutes! They aren't finished masks but doing it this way, saves a lot of time for those wanting to make masks. These masks leave an opening for a filter to be inserted as well. I am willing to volunteer my time if anyone would like to save a step in the mask making process. 2 metres of fabric = 24 masks Then YOU need to cut them apart with your rotary cutter; flip them, pleat and add ties (made from bias tape or binding). I can share a video of the process with those that are interested. You would follow my NO CONTACT PROTOCOL to drop off fabric and pick up your sheet of masks. Contact me with any questions or to book a drop off time.
MEET LINUS

So this is Linus watching over a new quilt delivery while I get outfitted with my safety mask & gloves ... he thinks he's head of Occupational Health & Safety here at Whitney Oaks Designs... I'll let him think that, but anyone who knows me, knows I'm the one in charge. Honestly, with all that's going on in our world right now, having a little chuckle now and then, I think, is important for our mental health. NO CONTACT PROTOCOL
